Carey Lovelace has had over fifty productions of her works including at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Bay Street Theatre, the Samuel French One-Act Festival (2006 finalist), and the BMI Music Theatre Workshop. Her 13-scene play Couples Counseling will be presented this fall by the Manhattan Rep Theatre; it received its world premiere at the REDCAT Theatre in the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. She has been a finalist, semi-finalist, and won honorable mentions in numerous competitions, including winning the Maxim Mazundar One-Act Play Competition. She is a member of the Librettists Workshop at BMI and has just joined the prestigious Music Theatre Workshop. She has been a member of the Actors Studio P/D Workshop and of Ensemble Studio Theatre's Citylab. She is also an art journalist, was co-president of the International Association of Art Critics. She has written about the art world for over a decade and a half, one of her areas of focus is performance art.
